SIZO® ECO-LINE - Natural Decoration Materials Without Plastic
The SIZO® ECO-LINE from Zwartz consists of jute, TENCEL™ Lyocell, Sizograss® Paper and jute twine. All materials in this range are of natural origin, biodegradable, and produced in our own factory in Oldenzaal. Production runs on green energy from our solar roof.
Decorative Jute - Made in-house Since 1835
Zwartz has been weaving decorative jute in our Oldenzaal factory since 1835. We work with natural jute yarns treated with plant-based spinning oil. Thanks to local production, our jute doesn’t carry the odour that often comes with materials from overseas shipping.
Jute is fully biodegradable and suitable for gift wrapping, flower wrapping, table runners, seasonal decoration and retail displays. The material is strong, lightweight and easy to work with.
Our decorative jute carries the STANDARD 100 label from OEKO-TEX®, meaning it has been tested for harmful substances and found safe for human health.
TENCEL™ Lyocell - Closed-Loop Production
TENCEL™ Lyocell is a natural fibre made from wood. Production takes place through a closed-loop process where more than 99% of the solvent used is recovered and reused.
The fibre is biodegradable and compostable under both industrial and home composting conditions. This is certified by TÜV AUSTRIA for breakdown in soil, freshwater and marine environments.
TENCEL™ materials in the ECO-LINE carry the STANDARD 100 label from OEKO-TEX® and have been tested for harmful substances.
TENCEL™ is used for table decoration, packaging and seasonal presentations where a soft, natural look is desired.
Sizograss® Paper - Grass Fibre and Cellulose
Sizograss® Paper is composed of 40% grass fibre and 60% cellulose. The paper is sun-dried, which saves up to 80% energy. Only 0.1% water is used for pulp production.
The material is biodegradable and compostable. Sizograss® Paper carries the EU Ecolabel, an official European certification for products with reduced environmental impact throughout their entire lifecycle.
It’s suitable for decorative packaging, floristry, table decoration and creative projects. The material is available in various colours and finishes.
Jute rope - 100% Natural Fibre
The jute rope in the ECO-LINE is made from 100% natural jute fibres, treated with plant-based spinning oil. The rope is biodegradable and suitable for gift wrapping, floristry, creative projects and seasonal decoration.

All SIZO® ECO-LINE materials are developed and produced locally. Production runs on the green energy from our solar roof.
By producing locally, we keep transport and CO2 emissions limited. We maintain direct control over production processes, quality and finishing. Most of the ECO-LINE is available from stock.
We help you think through material choices and applications. Whether it’s small batches or larger volumes: we deliver from stock or produce to order.

What makes the SIZO® ECO-LINE sustainable?
The ECO-LINE consists of natural raw materials: jute, TENCEL™ Lyocell, grass fibre and cellulose. All materials in this range are biodegradable. Production takes place in our own factory in Oldenzaal, partly powered by green energy. The range contains no plastic and no synthetic fibres.
Are the materials biodegradable?
Yes. Jute breaks down quickly in compost and soil. TENCEL™ Lyocell is certified as biodegradable in soil, freshwater and marine environments. Sizograss® Paper is biodegradable due to its composition of grass fibre and cellulose.
What certifications do the products carry?
Decorative jute and TENCEL™ carry the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 label. Sizograss® Paper has the EU Ecolabel. TENCEL™ Lyocell is certified by TÜV AUSTRIA as biodegradable and compostable.
Are the materials suitable for food or skin contact?

Most of the ECO-LINE is available from stock. Thanks to local production, delivery times are short.
