Dutch textile weaving mill for industrial applications

Zwartz is an independent textile weaving mill and manufacturer based in the Netherlands. We specialize in weaving natural technical textiles for a wide range of industrial and technical applications. Since 1835, our weaving mill in Oldenzaal has delivered custom-made textile solutions to clients in construction, infrastructure, agriculture, and packaging. We play an important role in sustainable, local production.

Textile solutions for professional use

At our textile weaving mill, we work exclusively with natural fibers like jute, cotton, flax, and hemp. The final fabric is tailored to the technical demands of the application. Whether it’s for temporary covers on construction sites, crop protection, or bulk packaging, our textiles are designed to perform in real-world conditions. That’s why they are widely used across various sectors.

Sustainable textiles in practice

Our weaving mill also serves specialized projects. For example, our biodegradable fabrics are used in dike reinforcement, where they help protect soil from erosion. As a result, they reduce microplastics in the ground and water. Also, our locally produced fabrics are free from import odors, making them more suitable for indoor use or food-related applications.

Custom-made textiles from our own weaving mill

All production takes place in-house. This way, we maintain full control over specifications, lead times, and quality. As a specialist textile weaving mill, we offer fabrics in widths from 3 to 535 cm and in weights from 70 to 950 grams per square meter. We supply both standard weaves and custom-made variants.

We also offer additional processing, including coating, lamination, cutting, and assembly. That makes it easier to respond to specific volumes or unique demands. Explore our capabilities on the Textile Solutions page.

Technical textiles with a sustainable profile

Our textile weaving mill produces fabrics for sectors that prefer natural materials. Think of erosion control, transport covers, weed barriers, or tarpaulins. By using renewable fibers like jute and cotton, we support reuse and help reduce waste.

Our jute is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified and tested for harmful substances. This makes it suitable for high-demand applications in terms of safety and sustainability. Local production further reduces our environmental footprint and avoids complex supply chains.
